Adding value to all areas of the ICO

As the work of the ICO is constantly evolving as we take on new responsibilities, we need to ensure that the organisation has the resources to adapt to change and meet the challenges of the future. With shrewd financial acumen, we make a major contribution to new developments and ensure that appropriate funds are in place.

Supporting all teams, we prepare statutory and management accounts, and collect and record fee income. As you would expect from a professional Finance team, we also prepare and monitor budgets, and pay invoices and expenses.

Dedicated to providing exceptional financial support, we put quality training in place and support studies towards recognised accountancy qualifications, such as AAT.

What skills do we look for?

As well as high levels of numeracy and knowledge of computerised accounting packages, we look for good written and verbal communication skills. You should also be well organised and dedicated team player with the ability to proactively solve problems and prioritise a busy workload. Computer literate with accurate inputting skills, you must have a flexible approach and the ability to work to procedures and guidelines. Knowledge of direct debiting rules would be advantageous.
