Some of our senior managers have progressed through the ICO after joining us as Administrative Officers. Whilst in the Legal Team, some colleagues have enjoyed the support they needed to complete formal legal training contracts and become qualified lawyers.
We are currently developing our approach to career management and succession planning because we know that this is important to our people. And we want to make sure that everyone is able to make the most of their skills and potential.
Some of our colleagues have chosen to move into support departments in such teams as Human Resources and Information Systems. We have helped them prepare for their new career path by providing the support they needed to study for professional qualifications. These include the industry-wide respected Prince 2, ITEL and Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) qualifications.
We are also particularly proud of our Information Systems Examination Board (ISEB) in-house training and qualification. This validates and demonstrates the valuable knowledge gained by our employees with a formal industry-recognised qualification. We are also pleased to take part in the Secondment programme of national experts that form the European Data Protection Supervisor base in Brussels.
